Guided or self-guided cycling and walking excursions
Borrow one of our bicycles and discover the countryside roads among olive trees, red ground, dry stone walls and “pajare”, then follow the astonishing coastal roads surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. If you are a two-wheels lover, use our dedicated app “Ride with GPS” and follow one of the paths we have created for you. We also collaborate with Slow Active Tours, a tour operator specialised in taylormade guided or self-guided excursions. Come to the reception and plan your excursion with us.
Cooking class
During our cooking classes guests have the opportunity to learn how to make our local kinds of pasta, orecchiette and maccheroni, initially observing Rosa’s wise hands and then trying to make their own pasta. Classes must be booked at the reception and they are free of charge. They usually start at 6 pm and are followed by a dinner in the restaurant next to the Palazzo called “Terramara”, where guests can taste their own freshly made pasta.
Wine tasting
Salento is considered a red wine area having two main grape varieties, Primitivo and Negroamaro, but a number of interesting white and rosé wines are also produced in this area. Taste, learn and enjoy Apulian wines: take part in our wine tastings or book a guided tour of selected vineyards and wine cellars. Transfer from and to the vineyards included.
Social dining
After a long day spent at the seaside or exploring the surroundings, there is nothing better than having dinner in a friendly and warm atmosphere together with other guests. Palazzo Guglielmo organises 3 different kinds of social dinners depending on the day of the week, all starting at 8 pm: every Monday there is a fish BBQ, every Wednesday a meat BBQ and on Friday the Pizza night! At the end, a dessert represents the ideal conclusion of a memorable dinner.

Where is Palazzo Guglielmo?
In Piazza Umberto I in Vignacastrisi, a hamlet of Castro in the province of Lecce, in the heart of Salento and 3 km from the coast.
How far is the sea?
Castro Marina is 3 km away, about 6 minutes by car. Santa Cesarea Terme is 6 km, Tricase Porto 12 km and Otranto 21 km.
Is breakfast included in the rate?
Yes, breakfast is included in the accommodation rate and is served poolside or in the living room, from 8:00 to 10:30.
How much does a room cost?
Double rooms range from 120 to 250 euros per night, breakfast included. Suites and apartments have different rates: check the booking calendar for your dates.
Which wellness facilities do you have?
A small SPA with Turkish bath, emotional shower, heated tub and underground jacuzzi, an outdoor heated jacuzzi on the terrace, a gym and massages on request.
Can we hold a wedding or an event?
Yes: weddings, baptisms, ceremonies and private events, with halls under Pietra Leccese vaults, the garden with its pine trees and orange grove, and the village church right in front of the palace.
Are children welcome?
